This activity is designed for those who wish to experience the winter mountains authentically, enjoying the silence of the forest, exploring different landscapes, and taking in spectacular views without covering long distances, requiring only minimal physical effort.

Full-day snowshoeing outings are designed for those who have already had a first experience with snow and want to deepen their winter adventure. Over the course of 6–7 hours, we will explore forests, snowy slopes, and open clearings, discovering how snow transforms the landscape and learning to interpret its signs.

This is not just walking: it’s a dynamic and educational activity, combining snow travel with terrain reading and safety concepts. We will observe how slope orientation, wind, and snow texture can create accumulation zones and small surface avalanches, all explained in a practical and easy-to-apply way.

Throughout the day, we will also learn to identify:

  • Tracks and signs of winter wildlife

  • Differences in snow depending on exposure, temperature, and wind

  • Micro-reliefs and snow formations characteristic of the season

The experience combines learning and enjoyment: walking at a steady pace, stopping to take in the surroundings, observing details, and understanding the environment.

Additionally, the guide will share local stories, culture, and traditions of the Val d’Aran, providing a human context and making the experience authentic and connected to the territory.

It is the perfect option for those who want to fully experience the winter mountains: a day of safe adventure, direct contact with nature, and spectacular panoramas, offering more depth and knowledge than an introductory outing.

The Val d’Aran is a unique valley in the Pyrenees, with its own character, language, culture, and traditions that make it truly special. During the outing, you will be able to enjoy:

  • Natural landscapes of great beauty and absolute silence

  • Tracks and signs of winter wildlife, such as foxes, hares, or forest birds

  • Small cultural and traditional details of the valley: stone and slate villages, ancient pastoral routes, and local legends

  • The living history of the Val d’Aran, where every corner has a name and origin that connects us with its inhabitants

The route is adapted to the snow conditions and group safety, always seeking the best spots to enjoy nature and learn about the surroundings. It is an experience that combines landscape, culture, and light adventure—perfect for your first contact with the winter mountains.
