Day 1; Trip to la Grave. Meet the guide. Accomodation in town.
Day 2: We take the gondola and ski couple runs before putting skins on and summit Dóme de Lauze 3.568m, from where we ski down to la Selle Refuge at 2.673m.
Elev gain: +100m -900m
Day 3; Climbing la Selle Glacier we’ll reach Breche du Rateau 3.335m, and we’ll ski down towards Valleé des Étançons and climb to Promontoire Refuge 3.082m.
Elev gain: +1.100m -750m
Day 4; Today’s route will earn a place on our memories. We’ll climb towards the mythical Breche de la Meije 3.357m, where we’re going to need the rope to drop into Meije Glacier. Passing under the impressive north face of La Meije and climbing Serret du Savon won’t leave us indiferent. The arrival at Refuge de L’aigle wil be the cherry on the cake for this very alpine day.
Day 5; Today, two of the best descent on the Alps are waiting for us, Homme Galcier or Trebuchet Glacier deliver us over 2000m descent to La Grave along a spectacular scenario.
Accomodation in La Grave
Skiers and guide will decide fi they are down for an extra ski day in la grave.
A good skiing and skinning technique are mandatory.
Mountain Huts are warded and heated, there's no need for carrying food or sleeping bag, but a cotton sheet and snacks are wellcome.
Extra food and drinks can be purchased at the huts.
Route and selected mountain huts might vary due to availability. Guide will share any program change with the group.
